A Founding Director of Godwin Group, Richard has over 35 years of experience in strategy development and operational improvement across a broad range of industries and geographies. Earlier in his career, he held executive-level appointments in the City of London with NatWest Bank and subsequently led major strategy transformation teams for various UK-based Management Consultancies including KPMG and SEMA, working with businesses in the UK, Europe, Asia, and Africa. For more than 10 years he has also raised equity and debt packages for a diverse range of companies. Richard is an experienced leader, a driver of business change and improvement.
Director
Andrew has held senior appointments within GKN PLC and was a senior management consultant with Saatchi & Saatchi. As a venture capitalist with Capital Ventures, he raised equity finance for property and other businesses. He was a Director of the Commission for the New Towns, managing land and property inward investment offices domestically and internationally. Over the last 20 years, he has put together equity and debt packages for property companies and was a partner with Beer & Partners, the private equity firm.
Director
Co-founder and Director of Godwin Group, Stephen has over 25 years of experience in property and oversees teams across London and Birmingham. He manages the business’ pipeline of upcoming schemes through UK land and property acquisition, seeing projects from purchase through to completion.
Stephen’s varied experience spans large multi-family and single family BTR developments along with large-scale land assembly in London and the Home Counties. Due to this, he was instrumental in creation of Godwin’s Joint Venture with Brookfield Asset Management for their £1Bn SFH and MFH BTR fund.
Stephen has also delivered impressive large mixed-use schemes with blue-chip tenants in major cities across the UK. Additionally, he has lent his wide-ranging expertise in development management to many institutional funds to advise on their property portfolios.
Stephen is proud to be instrumental in bringing high-quality schemes to fruition. He is also on the board of two property and construction networking organisations.
Director
A Director and Co-founder of Godwin Group, Stuart has over 20 years’ experience in all sectors of the property industry with a detailed knowledge of development management, land acquisition, development and exit strategy. He works with both the private and public sectors identifying and delivering schemes across the UK for BTR, PRS, affordable homes as well as grocery and roadside retail, working with clients such as Lidl, EuroGarages, Costa Coffee, Starbucks, McDonalds, BurgerKing, Subway, Coop, and many others. He is also supporting a number of institutional investors to develop and deliver the opportunities that create long term stable returns on capital.
In September 2021, Stuart was named West Midlands Leader of the Year 2021 as well as Company Leader (up to 100 employees) by The Business Desk.
Property Board Chairman
Owen was the Chief Executive Officer of Harworth Group PLC from August 2010 to October 2020. He has more than 27 years’ experience in the remediation and development of brownfield land and low carbon energy development. He has also held previous executive roles with Peel Group, Black Country Properties and Viridor. Owen led the team who listed the Harworth Group on the main market of the London Stock Exchange in March 2015 after it was de-merged from UK Coal Group in December 2012. In doing so he established Harworth as one of the UK’s leading master developers of brownfield land creating places where people want to live and work. Owen served as a Non-Executive Director of Covanta Holding Corporation, a global provider of waste management services in the USA from September 2018 to December 2020 prior to stepping up to become President of Covanta Europe in January 2021. He is a former Board member for the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and the current Chair of the British Property Federations Regional Policy Committee.
Property Board – Construction
Steve has over 40 years experience of working in the construction industry for both national and regional contractors where he has held senior positions. Trained as a Quantity Surveyor before then taking Regional Director roles in business development, Steve has spent the last 8 years with Winvic Construction Ltd managing the development of retail projects and developing its medium and high rise residential construction portfolio before joining Godwin Developments as Construction Director.
Property Board – Development and Construction
Ken is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has been in the construction industry for over 40 years. He was a Senior Partner in Gleeds International Management and Construction Consultancy and he worked on commercial and residential property projects totaling in excess of £100 billion. His expertise is extensive including project, contract and cost management services, and funding.
Property Board - Construction
Richard has over 35 years experience in construction and property development. Trained as a Quantity Surveyor working for contractors in various sectors, he progressed to hold the main board position at William Davis Ltd for 14 years, leading the residential contracting division. Richard works on the Godwin Advisory Board assisting with a range of projects – from residential to commercial
Group Finance Director
Jonathan’s role as Group Finance Director supports all divisions of Godwin Developments through financial execution and strategic planning. He works alongside the Developments Team ensuring the most appropriate projects are identified, controlled and executed in line with the business’ overall strategy.
Jonathan has an Engineering degree and is a Fellow of the ICAEW having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003, working with both Arthur Andersen and Deloitte in London. With more than 20 years leading Finance teams, he brings vast experience to the Godwin team. He has a proven track record across multiple industry sectors working for private equity, owner managed and public companies. More recently Jonathan has worked within residential construction, landscape construction, grounds maintenance, engineering and property development businesses.
Residential and Capital Markets
Experienced property professional Ben Miller has nearly 20 years of experience, gained primarily in the residential sector, working across traditional built environments and volumetric modular solutions.
In his former senior management roles as Development Director and Managing Director with well-known housebuilder Crest Nicholson, he was responsible for creating and successfully growing the company’s Midlands and Home Counties divisions. Ben led the recruitment and management of the two teams, while also establishing the acquisition, development and disposal strategies for the regions turning them into the company’s best performing divisions. In addition to the above, he had profit and loss, health and safety, recruitment, governance and reporting responsibilities.
Prior to joining Godwin Developments, Ben held senior board director positions with Ilke Homes – the modular volumetric housing provider, owned by TDR Capital. In this capacity, he worked closely with leading BTR, PRS and registered providers to build a pipeline of 3,000 homes from identification to on-site delivery within two years.
His background is primarily in Land and Planning, team recruitment and management.
Managing Director, Residential Development
Leveraging his deal origination, partnerships and planning expertise, Simon leads Godwin’s Residential Development division with a focus on growing the business value-added pipeline across a range of asset classes. Working with the wider strategic land, planning and delivery teams, he targets residentially led development opportunities nationwide, with a particular emphasis on the South East.
With more than two decades of experience in property development, Simon has a proven and in-depth knowledge of the sector, having held previous positions at the Berkeley Group, Wilmott Dixon and CALA Group. Prior to joining Godwin, he worked as Land and Planning Director at Countryside Partnerships.
Managing Director, Commercial Development
A member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Simon has over 20 years of experience in the UK property sector, gained across a range of projects and sectors, including retail, leisure, residential, office, trade and mixed-use. Working at King Sturge and Lambert Smith Hampton during his early career, he later joined Hawkstone Properties where he quickly progressed from a development manager to director thanks to his strong analytical, technical and negotiation skills.
At Godwin Developments, Simon is responsible for all aspects of the development process – from initial site appraisals to practical completion – for commercial schemes across the UK. He is particularly skilled in maintaining close working relationships with partners, agents, tenants, funders and consultants, as well as existing portfolio management.
Managing Director, Industrial & Logistics
Marcus leads Godwin Development’s Industrial and Logistics division which focuses on delivering best-in-class opportunities with strong ESG credentials.
With over 10 years of experience in the commercial property sector, he oversees all stages of the property development process in this asset class – from site identification and deal structure to planning promotion, delivery, lettings, and fundraising supported by an expert in-house team.
Marcus is a Chartered Surveyor and joined Godwin in 2022 from major industrial and logistics business Tritax Symmetry, having previously also worked at Graftongate, CBRE, and Cushman and Wakefield.
Partnership Director
As Partnership Director for Godwin Developments, Tim is responsible for delivering all land-led affordable homes projects, including onward sale and construction. Working with both private and public landowners, registered providers, stakeholders as well as expert consultants and internal teams, his remit covers land identification, contractual negotiations and acquisitions, as well as the delivery of acceptable build contracts, land disposals and delivery oversight.
Tim has a wealth of experience in the property sector and has over the last 25+ years gained a range of skills covering valuations, acquisitions, property and investment management, planning investigations and disposals. His former work experience includes well-known industry names such as Countryside Plc, Lambert Smith Hampton as well as a number of reputable development and property consultancy businesses.
Tim has a degree in Property Development and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Strategic Land Director
Joining Godwin Developments in 2023, Will heads the business’ Strategic Land division and is the driving force behind its plans to expand rapidly across the United Kingdom.
He has over 22 years of experience with residential land promotion and development, having previously worked as a consultant and ran his own successful property development business. He has an in-depth understanding of the strategic land promotion process and has a track record of bringing forward a range of open market sale schemes – from single luxury homes to an 8-acre, £500 million mixed-use development in Birmingham City centre. He has previously worked with PLC housebuilders and registered providers to deliver packaged open market and affordable housing sites up to 300 units.
Will established and led the significant growth of Fine & Country West Midlands and their land and new homes department. Taking on a franchise opportunity, within the space of four years he managed to increase the turnover of the estate agency tenfold, as well as establish their land and new homes department. Land and New Homes highlights included selling multiple units for regional and national housebuilders and sourcing land for luxury housing development projects.
Before joining Fine & Country, Will also worked as a Management Consultant with PWC for 5 years, highlights included working with blue chip companies such as Marks and Spencer, HSBC, BT and Centrica.
Construction Director
Highly experienced property professional Michael Jones has over 35 years of experience in the industry. Throughout his career, he has led the delivery of a range of commercial and residential projects, including the regeneration of thousands of acres of brownfield land across the country, resulting in the construction of over 10,000 new homes and 10 million sq. ft. of distribution, manufacturing, commercial and retail space. A chartered quantity surveyor, he has more than 35-years of experience in the strategic management of large-scale construction and development projects gained in directorship positions with well-known real estate brands such as Harworth Estates and Castlemore Securities Ltd. Michael leads the Godwin development and construction teams while also working closely with the Board and a range of national and regional stakeholders.
Construction Director, Industrial and Logistics
With a career spanning over 25 years of I&L development, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and extensive hands-on experience to Godwin Developments.
As Construction Director, Industrial and Logistics, Steve is currently responsible for some of the business’ largest projects across the country, working closely with the Managing Director of the Industrial and Logistics Division, the wider Godwin in-house team and a broad range of external property partners and consultants.
Prior to joining the business, Steve worked as Operations Director of Mace, where he was part of the Mace Cost and Commercial Practice Group senior leadership, leading a team of 25 quantity surveyors and responsible for the Birmingham office’s cost management offer. He also acted as Project Director for Jaguar Land Rover leading the delivery of one of the largest logistics schemes in the UK.
Construction Director, Commercial Development
With over 15 years of experience in the property industry, Ketan leads the delivery of Godwin Development’s commercial projects across the country. Working with contractors, statutory consultees, and property consultants, he project manages the early stages of a scheme’s development as well as all on-site works to practical completion and client handover. He has considerable experience working with a range of well-known commercial brands such as Lidl, Greggs, Starbucks, Costa Coffee, McDonalds, BurgerKing, Wendy’s, Brightside, and the EG Group to name a few, and over the years has had close involvement with many residential projects.
Ketan joined Godwin Developments in 2017, having previously worked across development, construction, and lettings with the likes of property services group Countrywide Plc and commercial real estate agent Avison Young. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Property Investment and Finance, which is RICS Accredited.
Planning Director
A member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, Nick Harrison has over 20 years of experience with high-profile property development. A former director with Lambeth Smith Hampton and GVA, he has an extensive track record with nationwide schemes, having previously advised house builders, developers and investors on projects delivering approximately 6,000 homes.
Nick’s residential experience includes planning consultancy on open market sale, BTR, PBSA and co-living projects as well as strategic land promotion. Selected commercial schemes in Nick’s portfolio cover Ballymore’s 500,000 sq. ft. Snowhill office development, 103 Colmore Row on behalf of the British Land Company, and the Library of Birmingham. He has also previously advised the Ministry of Defence, Department of Health, and many UK councils with various strategic land projects.
Marketing Director
Krassi Stoyanova has over 20 years of experience in strategic and tactical marketing and communications for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets. She joined Godwin having previously built a successful track record with international engineering and metals corporates such as GFG Alliance, Liberty House Group, Caparo Industries and GEA. Krassi previously managed marketing teams across global geographies and has a deep understanding of brand and marketing strategy, external and internal communications and campaign management. She holds an MBA from the University of Birmingham and a BA (Hons) in Marketing and Management.
Associate Director, Planning
A chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), Keir has 15 years of private sector experience working in planning consultancy and for major national and regional housebuilders, such as Persimmon and Spitfire Bespoke Homes. He has a wide-ranging skillset that covers site identification and planning due diligence, managing planning applications and related consents, negotiating section 106 agreements, and promoting sites for development through the Local Plan process.
At Godwin Developments, he works across the business’ residential, commercial, industrial & logistics, and strategic land divisions, providing expert planning advice to support site acquisitions and actively managing consultant teams to secure planning for schemes nationwide.
Associate Director, Commercial Development
Claudine has several years of experience in the property development industry, having worked across both residential and commercial schemes nationwide. During her time with Godwin Developments she has gained significant skills and a great track record working with commercial clients from across the spectrum – from international roadside retail brands, to national high street name grocery retailers. As Associate Director, Commercial Development, Claudine is responsible for the identification, acquisition and letting of commercial sites and works closely with both landowners and end-users to create schemes which offer maximum benefit for all parties.
Claudine has a background in surveying, with an MSc in Real Estate Management (Distinction).
Associate Director, Residential Acquisitions
With 5 years of experience in property development, Josh is a key member of Godwin’s residential development team based in Mayfair, London. Working on schemes across the country, he is responsible for the entire residential acquisitions process – from lead generation and opportunity appraisal, through to assessing suitability vs market demand, and formulating bids through to legal purchase.
At present Josh is actively pursuing opportunities across both the single and multi family housing markets in London, Birmingham and Bristol, as well as the Home Counties, covering build to sell, build to rent, PBSA and affordable homes.
Josh also holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University.
Development Manager, Residential & Strategic
A member of RICS, Alistair has 7 years of experience in the property sector, having previously worked in residential and commercial development both in-house as well as with agency and consultancy businesses such as St. Modwen’s Homes, Savills, and Colliers. His skill set covers strategic land site finding, acquisition, development, and management as well as planning, valuation, cost modelling, rate management, and delivery.
At Godwin Developments, his role is focused on supporting both our strategic land and residential divisions in growing their portfolio of upcoming projects and providing the expertise to support the whole development life cycle – from acquisition through to delivery.
Development Assistant
Cheryl has been an integral part of our national residential team since joining the business in 2021 and supports the Godwin residential team in delivering the business’ ambitious plans to deliver a new £1bn national BTR platform.
Cheryl has previous experience in property through her former role with a serviced office provider in Central London. She has also worked in aviation, customer relationship management, operations, systems and sales support.
Development Assistant
With a background in Administration and Customer Service, Natasha has experience in the property sector having previously worked at consultancy firm Robinson Low Francis (RLF) as their receptionist.
Having joined in 2019 as Office Manager, over the last three years she has supported the Birmingham team with a range of schemes as well as the setting of Godwin’s ESG strategy.
In her new role as a development assistant, Natasha is responsible for sourcing, initial evaluation of development sites ande detailed appraisals, as well as supporting the wider commercial and industrial development teams.
Managing Director - Acquisitions
Rob has over 25 years corporate finance experience within private equity, fundraising, acquisition finance and restructuring. His most recent roles include setting up and leading the Midlands office of NorthEdge Capital, a private equity business, and co-heading the creation of the Housing Growth Partnership, a £100m equity fund for small and medium sized housebuilders. He has also held senior positions at Lloyds Banking Group, Royal Bank of Scotland, EY and Deloitte.
Director - Acquisitions
David qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young and has both public company and private company fund raising experience, including advising on more than 15 IPO’s across a variety of sectors. David’s professional background includes working as a corporate financier for stockbrokers Williams de Broe, Seymour Pierce and XCAP Securities, where he was Head of Corporate Finance. David has first-hand regulatory experience as a public company regulatory adviser for the UK Listing Authority. He was also the CEO of AIM listed VANE Minerals PLC (with operations in the USA, Mexico and the UK) and has been the finance director for various UK based companies.
Managing Director
Lesley plays a pivotal role in the acquisition, development and delivery of Godwin’s Monogram Living £1 billion national BTR portfolio. Her main remit is the creation of the BTR investment and operational strategy across both the single and multifamily developments for the business. Working in close collaboration with internal teams and external providers, she is responsible for the performance and profitability of our single and multifamily assets while also delivering a leading customer experience across the entire proposition.
With a career spanning over 20 years, Lesley has extensive high-level expertise with both the BTR and PRS sectors, and has for some time been at the heart of shaping the UK’s Build to Rent sector as President of The UK Apartment Association (UKAA). Prior to joining Godwin, she served as a Partner at Allsop LLP and CEO of Allsop Letting and Management, where she advised developers and institutional investors on the acquisition, design, build and operation of large-scale BTR portfolios. A member of the British Property Federation’s (BPF) residential board, Lesley has toured internationally studying multifamily communities and was instrumental in the concept and creation of the UKAA’s BTR Best Practice Guide launched in 2022. She was previously Chair of Soho Housing Association and held roles at Pinnacle Places, Young Group, and City Living London.
Investment Manager
As Monogram Living’s Investment Manager, Sebastian is focused on residential deal origination and acquisitions, supporting the business’ plans to develop a national Build-To-Rent platform across both single-family and multifamily housing.
An RICS Chartered Surveyor, he has more than five years of real estate experience, gained in both property investment & development. Prior to joining Godwin, Sebastian worked at BBS Capital where he was involved in the origination and acquisition of residential and commercial investment deals, driving planning applications on their large residential led schemes, and debt financing for their debt advisory business. Before this, he was employed by Tritax Symmetry, where he gained experience in the Industrial & Logistics market. With a particular focus on ESG, Sebastian has a diverse range of real estate experience.
Godwin Capital - Compliance
Henry is the founder of Bluewater Capital & Compliance. Henry’s 17 year investment banking career spans across the world’s leading international financial centres in the UK, Singapore, Australia and United States. He is an expert in Fintech (Financial Technology) and the distribution of execution and clearing services through emerging e-channels. At JPMorgan he pioneered the distribution of derivatives trading through their market leading platform eXtraTrade. At Deutsche Bank he led a team responsible for advising and providing execution services across Rates, Credit, Futures & Options and FX to the world’s leading hedge funds.
Managing Director, Investments
As Managing Director of Investments, Rupy is responsible for leading the investor relations, processing, marketing and business development functions of the Godwin Capital team. Alongside overseeing the long-term business development goals, she also manages strategic planning, product development, project management and stakeholder relations with partners across the globe.
With 15 years of marketing experience and a data-driven approach, Rupy is responsible for the operational functions surrounding the Godwin Capital brand. Rupy’s previous experience of working with leading household brands, such as Sainsbury’s and Lidl, has given her a deep understanding of digital marketing approaches and market analysis techniques, upholding Godwin Capital as a leading figure in the international investment sector.
Managing Director - North America
Doug has worked in the field of economic development, property and site marketing for over 30 years. He has developed and executed strategic programs for public and private clients in the USA, the EU and Asia, looking to attract corporate and property investment.
Doug worked at Dun & Bradstreet International, his own firm Corporate Link International, and at the UK firm Sector Global in a variety of roles, connecting investors with property & investment opportunities. He’s excited to put his experience to work with Godwin Capital, building a broker network and introducing Godwin Capital’s investment products to the North American market.
Commercial Director - UK and Overseas
Patrick has wide-ranging private and public fundraising experience across various sectors including alternative asset classes and for investment products. He has an extensive network of private and institutional investors who can also offer sector-specific expertise. Patrick’s professional background includes working in corporate finance as a stockbroker for Capel Cure Myers and Seymour Pierce Butterfield and practising as a corporate lawyer at Alsop Wilkinson, (subsequently DLA Piper LLP), and Lewis Silkin in London. Since 2009 he has worked independently as an investment consultant providing capital funding solutions for high growth companies.
Associate Director
Anna brings 15 years of experience in financial marketing and business development. Originally trained in architecture, she honed her skills at Chapman Taylor’s planning department, contributing to diverse, mixed-development projects across the UK. Transitioning into finance, Anna pursued an MBA with a specialisation in financial management. Her experience encompasses various financial institutions and family offices, blending strategic insights with a passion for growth.
Investment Manager
Iulian has over seven years of experience in financial services, across different financial sectors, from execution dealing services and investment accounts, to wealth management and investment banking. Iulian has an extensive knowledge of different investment and trading platforms, having worked with Deutsche Bank for over four years, with a focus on the fixed income side of the business, Iulian is highly capable of helping introducers support their clients reach their financial goals.
Associate Director
Harrison has over 6 years’ experience in Account Management and Recruitment, with experience providing support to some of Australia’s largest recruitment agencies and to some of the UK’s largest automotive manufacturers. The knowledge and skills gained in these roles, along with his degree in English and Psychology, will hold him in good stead to make an impact in this new and exciting industry.
Investment Manager
Having over 13 years’ experience in financial services and latterly over 6 years working with financial advisors helping advisors and clients maximise their investments, knowledge, and finances mainly on the commercial aspect. Prior to this Neil worked at a top 4 bank in relationship management handling a portfolio of clients in the commercial and corporate space. Having lived in North America, Texas (Rio Grande Valley), and Arkansas Neil is keen to use his local knowledge to support his endeavours to expand his network in the US regions. His knowledge and industry expertise will no doubt stand him in good stead to help our introducers, clients and potential investors become part of the Godwin family.
Manager, Investment Processing - Capital
Teresa has over 15 years of experience gained within the banking and recruitment industries carrying out various roles. After 10 years of working within the recruitment industry, Teresa is excited to embark on her new journey within the investment sector at Godwin Capital.

Nadine has worked within the financial sector for over 20 years in roles including bank reconciliation, risk assessor and operations support. She has worked at companies such as HSBC and QBE insurance where she supported both underwriters and brokers. Nadine is now looking forward to utilising her skills and growing with Godwin Group as an Investment Co-ordinator.

Raj has over 15 years of experience working as an Administrator within a Wealth Management company, Wesleyan Assurance Society and Lloyds TSB Private Banking, as well as a number of years in retail, and now is looking forward to developing her skills within Godwin Capital as an Investment Co-ordinator.

Georgina has worked in administration at a well-known Property Law firm for over 4 years supporting partners and directors in providing outstanding service to clients with a fast turnaround time. She has developed very good skills in people relations and updating various standard operating procedures to lead a team to have attention to detail and produce a near-perfect end result every time. Georgina is excited to utilise her skills and knowledge within the Investment Processing team at Godwin Capital.
Finance Manager
Rajeev has over 20 years’ experience in finance-related positions, working in Banking & Corporate finance. Having worked for 3 of the major top 5 banks and leading leasing companies of the UK he has developed his experience and learning within KYC/KYB, Asset Management, Corporate account, Reporting and Compliance which has led to his passion into the finance world and automation reporting saving time and money while adding value to the process. Rajeev has also worked alongside UK’s top accounting firms to assist with audits, forecasting, budgeting, and on-boarding new processes.
Finance Assistant
Trinity has three years of finance expertise, having worked as a financial administrator with the JD PLC accounting team. Alongside gaining deep knowledge and multiple skills over her professional career, including financial reporting and preparing periodic financial reports, Trinity also uses industry-standard software to support the accounting department.
Investor Relationship Manager
Pardeep has over 10 years’ experience working within Customer Relations roles, predominantly within the financial sector. He has worked for companies such as Royal Bank of Scotland, Yell, and Barclays where he supported in rolling out new systems and implemented new methods of working to improve quality and drive performance. Pardeep is excited to embark on a new journey with Godwin Capital to utilise and develop his skills and knowledge as an Investor Relationship Manager.
Marketing Executive
Zac is a seasoned Marketing Executive with a strong foundation in digital marketing, content creation and lead acquisition. Holding both undergraduate and master’s degrees in language and communication, he offers over five years of experience in crafting compelling narratives for diverse sectors, including industrial manufacturing, computer-networking technology and investment finance.
Using globally recognised marketing platforms, such as LinkedIn Ads and DotDigital, Zac orchestrates carefully crafted and segmented marketing campaigns that drive brand recognition, customer engagement and sales. Group Administration Manager
Keeley has over 20 years experience offering direct support to Chief Executives, Managing Directors and senior management teams in a variety of business sectors including; manufacturing, retail and marketing services. Before joining Godwin Developments Keeley worked as Personal Assistant to the Regional Managing Director of Trinity Mirror plc.
Finance Director, Capital
Ray has over 30 years experience of working in finance-related positions, beginning back in 1988 when he got his first role in a private accountancy practice in Derby. He worked in all area of practice from sole trader accounts to multimillion pound corporate audit assignments. After 17 years working in practice, he made the move into the world of professional football finance, spending over 10 years in senior positions at Nottingham Forest, Barnsley & Derby County Football Clubs. Ray, moved away from football in 2015 and joined Godwin after holding a similar position within the Redrow plc group of companies.
Financial Controller, Capital
Lucy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. As well as earning her degree in Business Accounting and Finance from Newcastle University, with sponsorship from PwC, Lucy also completed the ACA programme, obtaining the designation of Chartered Accountant and becoming a proud member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2020.
Transitioning from practice, Lucy ventured into the dynamic realm of private equity-backed property development, specialising in the commercial and logistical transformation of brownfield sites.
Accounts Assistant
After studying towards the ATT exam for three years, Akshay’s main responsibility is producing accurate management accounts.
With an in-depth knowledge of industry-standard software platforms, such as Sage, Akshay is now taking responsibility for the data management side of the business, keeping critical financial records up to date and in line with current professional standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
Portfolio Analyst
Having recently completed a summer internship with Godwin Capital, Aryaan is now our new Portfolio Analyst.
With experience working in the retail sector and also being actively involved with many academic societies and sport clubs throughout his time at university, Aryaan has also completed his study abroad programme at the University of Florida.
Financial Controller, Developments
A qualified member of the ACCA, Phoebe is an experienced financial and management accountant with previous roles in higher education and asset management organisations. Her skill set includes financial accounting and reporting, implementing and managing financial processes, financial controls and risk management, and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
At Godwin Developments, Phoebe’s responsibilities include: overseeing the day-to-day financial processing, ensuring the month-end deadlines are met in an efficient and accurate manner, implementing and maintaining financial processes and controls, and supporting the Group Finance Director with cash management.
Phoebe is a University of Cambridge graduate and a Governor on the Board of Repton Primary School.
Accounts Assistant
Kelly is a highly skilled finance professional, with over 10 years of experience working in and leading accounts payable teams. Prior to joining Godwin, she headed the Accounts Payable function at a prominent Birmingham-based independent and bespoke property management company. She also spent a considerable amount of her career with established real estate names such as Fisher German and Cushman & Wakefield where she not only managed her own client portfolio within the accounts payable team but was also responsible for financial reporting, liaising with tenants, suppliers, clients and councils, as well as property managers and surveyors.
Kelly works with the finance team across the Godwin Developments business assisting with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, invoice processing and other finance duties.
